Fabulous scenic woodland valley model railroad in N scale.

Extraordinary hand made woodland model rail road layout in N scale. I take great care to detail and realism

1 - This model rail way layout is carved manually out of light weight insulation foam. The base size is 82 x 60 cms (32.3 x 23.6 inches).

2 - The cottage, as shown on the photos, is made from a kit assembled by me, and subject to availability. If not available at the time of placing your order I will source very similar ones to fit the layout.

3 - This is a single railway track with balasted Fleischmann rails. The landscape can vary according to your specific requirements.

4 - The pine and deciduous trees are made by me from twisted steel wire or wooden skewers, with poly fiber, and or coconut fiber, and than sprinkled with fine turf and or course turf. You can choose summer, autumn or winter colours.

5 - The landscape, roads, side walks and open fields are made with acrylic paints, PVA glue, fine and or course turf, and synthetic static grass fibers. Mountains and rocks are carved very detailed out of insulation foam. The bare rocks are getting a watered down black wash, and I blow sprinkled with fine turf onto the carved rocks for realistic effect.

6 - The creek surface is made with PVA glue, shrinkled soft tissue paper creating realistic waves, brushed with watered down PVA glue. Once this is dry, a mixture of almost dry brushing light green, brown, dark green and black acrylic paint, smoothly flowing into each other, finished off with various layers of acrylic varnish.

7 - Included is one transformers and 1 speedregulator, allowing you to operate one N scale train. The layout is analog. You can also operate DC digital controled trains on this layout.

8 - The processing time to make this layout is between 80 to 90 hours over a period of to 5 weeks, between the various stages of drying of glue, paints, and assembling.

9 - Shipping with DHL Express, delivery takes about 3 to 5 days depending on destination, is free and included in the price. A strong double layer corrugated carton is used for packaging to fit the base of the layout so it cannot move sideways. Soft tissue paper balls are used to fill the open space in the box. For safe transport reason the trees are packed on top of the layout. You can easily insert the trees into the insulation foam.
The total weight of the completed railway layout including the corrugated carton box does not exceed 10 kilos.

10 - When not in use this layout stores snugly in a standard wardrobe.

Locomotives and coaches are not included in the price.
