Diorama with a typical old fashioned Dutch "Kotter" wooden flat bottom sailing vesselon a calm sea.
The base 30 x 21 cms (11.8 x 8.2 inches) is handmade from extruded polietylene (Insulation foam), covered with PVA wood glue, a layer of tissue paper, watered down acrylic paint, thoruoghly dried, carefully dry brushed with various acrylic paint colours, and covered with acrylic varnish to give it a wet look.
